Enhancing Data Quality: Copernicus Marine In Situ TAC QC Procedure and Duplicate Detection
On 7 July 2023, the Blue-Cloud team organised an internal training session with Dr. Delphine Leroy and Virginie Racape (POKaPOK) to explore the technical aspects of data quality control and duplicate detection in the context of marine science. The webinar put a specific emphasis on oxygen, nutrients, and chlorophyll-a data as it aimed to illustrate the meticulous processes employed by Copernicus Marine Services to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
Blue-Cloud EOV Workbenches
In Blue-Cloud 2026, advanced Workbenches (WBs) are being developed to streamline data handling for Essential Ocean Variables (EOV). These tools enhance data harmonisation, validation, and qualification from various sources. These novel Workbenches leverage cloud tech, AI, and advanced analytics for improved data handling. They are set to be adopted by key initiatives, consistently producing validated data collections, enhancing oceanic simulations. The EOV Workbenches cover Physics, Eutrophication, and Ecosystem-level Variables.
